They are just out to take your money. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!

If I could give no stars I would. Been trying for a month to get ahold of customer support via both the app and over the phone. For 4 days I've been fighting for a refund that the airline themselves told me I was entitled to as my flight was changed due to COVID. However, Expedia are refusing to refund any amount. 4 days, 1 failed callback and multiple phone calls to chase this up, only to find out on the last call that the flight was changed again from a 6 am flight to an 11 pm flight without any notice given to me, meaning we would lose a full day and miss check-in at the hotel. Emailed multiple people, including the CEO of the company, just to be ignored and passed around non-stop. Stay away from this company and book directly. They shouldn't be trading at all and are just out to steal money from customers. Should be ashamed of themselves

after booking 3 flights with them in…

after booking 3 flights with them in November 2020, I am still waiting for my refund I cannot even contact them them through their porthole sohave called them, I have given my information to a recorded voice no agents available was told I would recieve a call within 3 mins and nothing hanging around the phone on the very small chance it may ring.Nobody will speak to me, I cant contact anyone the waiting and the trying to contact them is stressing me out as mych as the fact I could lose all this money.PLEASE IF THINKING OF USING COMPANY DO NOT DO IT BOOK DIRECT WITH AIRLINES OR USE A VALUED TRAVEL COMPANY, once they have your money you stand little chance of getting ever seeing it again !!!!!!!!

Got 2 accomodation booked through…

Got 2 accomodation booked through expedia. Both of them have free cancellation, when I arrived for check-in they both were closed, was never able to reach somebody from customer support only unuseful virtual assistants everywhere. Today I was trying at least to get my money back but they've refunded only 50% from second booking. Total mess, I'll recommend using booking.com instead this one saved me from sleeping in the street last night. Peace ✌

Disgusting customer service!!!

** do not book anything with this company! ** booked hotel stay in March 2020, was cancelled due to lockdown and was issued with voucher to use before May 2021. Rebooked for beginning of May 21 and again been cancelled due to lockdown closures. Am now being told that it’s tough and voucher was one time use!! When I have paid a lot of money for a hotel stay I have not had and they are refusing to refund!! I have complained and get emails back saying will hear back within 48 to 72hrs and I’m still waiting 2 and half weeks later! Utterly disgusting making money out of people’s misfortunes and if you work for this company you should hang your head in shame! Worst customer service and robbing people of their money!!!! Will be continuing to take it further! Shouldn’t be allowed to get away with it!

If I could give negative stars I would…

If I could give negative stars I would they’d deserve 100s of them. Worst customer service experience ever. My return flight was changed to a day earlier than planned due to Covid. Trying to change flight to original day was even after 7 hours of conversations with 5 different customer service agents ( they really do not deserve this title... customer service living nightmares would be a better job title) that all told a different story to why they couldn’t help, I still haven’t been able to change my flight. To say that i had enough of their con like methods is understatement. Recorded the conversations and forwarded to a a colleague who works for a newspaper. Never ever will I book through Expedia again. I would strongly urge everyone who is contemplating to use them not to. Safe yourself the headache!

On 23rd of November at 13:56 an Expedia…

On 23rd of November at 13:56 an Expedia agent telephoned me to inform me I would get a refund within 8 to 12 weeks.A joke considering they had already had my money for 14 months.it took me around 15 seconds to pay them. After 13 weeks and no refund I contacted an agent via chat to find out what was happening.I was then told it was credit only.I immediately requested a transcript of my November conversation. It’s no surprise that I haven’t had a reply.this company are liars and thieves.I will continue on a daily basis writing negative reviews.Do not use this this company or any of its sister companies. But don’t just take my word for it,do a little research yourself.

Complete lack of Compassion

Complete lack of compassion & would give 0/5 if I could, I booked a non refundable room in Iceland for April 2021 back in May 2020 - I fully accept that if I myself cancelled I wouldnt get a refund (thats what I thought I was signing up for), but I am not cancelling, I am legally prohibited from leaving the UK and most importantly I am prohibited from entering Iceland on the travel dates and therefore from staying at the property. My flights have been cancelled with Easyjet and I have had a refund. After being denied a refund twice, I asked for an expedia credit to use in the UK, but that's also been denied.2/3/2020 As requested In the response below I have emailed but wasnt given a case ID just asked what my query is (again). I have sent about 6 emails in total over the past week and yet there appears to be absolutely no audit trail and have to start again every single time I email.

Daylight Robbery - Avoid!

We booked flights to New York for March 2020 for me and my daughter, however one week before we were due to go the flights were cancelled. We faced extreme difficulty just trying to reach somebody for a refund, however we were only offered a flight voucher that expires before the US will even open up their borders. We were told we were not entitled to a refund for the flights however I know I am 100% legally entitled to this. Expedia will not listen to the facts, and passes blame to everyone else but themselves. I always travelled with Expedia before, however never again. They have robbed me of close to £1k, money that I really needed during this financially difficult year. I may never be able to visit New York with my daughter without that refund, but a company refuses to give me back MY money that they have no right to keep from me. Avoid this company at all costs. They reply to my pleas how they want to help, but all they want is to steal my money.Case I.D: S-212202676 Please note that Expedia are trying to say that I cancelled the flights but I did not and they will not share evidence that I did.

You get what you pay for

Expedia are great for the cheapest tickets especially if airline combinations are involved. However, if anything goes wrong, you can expect appalling, incompetent service. Two examples: 1. I booked myself and my daughter on a flight. However my daughter was delayed by 24 hours getting to the airport so I phoned them and asked them to split the booking, which they supposedly did. So far so good, except that when I came to check myself in the airline had no record of my booking and I had to buy another ticket. I tried to get a refund from Expedia but after endless hours on hold and then once connected being given the run around, I realized I was wasting my time, gave up, and wrote off the loss. 2. I had an airline credit through Expedia for £960 and eventually used some of the credit to book another flight and they issued the ticket, with £170 credit left. However, they keep emailing me to tell me there is a problem with the ticket issuance and asking me to call. When I call, more time spent on hold, only to be told that the ticket has been issued and it is fine. Then, I get another email asking me to call them to sort out an issuing problem! Oh and despite two requests they have refused to send me an email confirming the amount of credit left over. Never, ever again. And not on Travelocity either which is the same company.

Delay tactics and inaccurate information- cannot get a refund

I am absolutely fed up with Expedia - I have been a loyal and frequent customer with them for years but have never had such a dreadful experience with any company. We booked a trip last April 2020 which was cancelled due to covid. Initially I accepted an airline credit as the position was inclear but in September when legally obliged to, they offered a cash refund but I was told to click a link. The link did not work and I contacted them. They asked for Jpeg versions of the emails then refused to acknowledge them. They eventually sent further email links that did not work and blamed me for clicking them on a phone, not a laptop. After online chat, phone calls when they called me from Arizona, endless emails and frustration, they refunded the outbound flights at the end of October. I then asked where my return flights refund was and the whole ridiculous process started again where they sent a link to click that didn't work and wanted to see my error message in Jpeg form. More emails, online chat and actual phone contact later and they said the refund had been refused and they would request it again. This was December and I have again contacted them today and they told me they need to send me yet another link to click! I view this as theft and have told them this.

Waste

Never book a ticket with them and the customer care is totally waste of time.People who work there don't have basic skills. If you want to to waste your time, money and peace of mind do book a ticket with them.
